New Work :: Houghton Mifflin

This was a fun little piece I did for Houghton Mifflin's Literature Program. The art director I worked with knew she wanted an image of a fierce dog, but left all the details to me. So I took it and ran with it... especially with the color. Bold yellow with pops of bright red felt right. And messy scribbles are starting to become a regular part of any illustration I do (sometimes I hide them) -- but this scribble was meant to be prominent. Woof!
