summer...

Oh summer, how do I love thee. - ripe red tomatoes that make your mouth hurt they taste so good (eaten over the kitchen sink like an apple)

- colorfully patterned sun dresses with flip flops (dress code around these parts)

- butterfly bushes (which are not the prettiest in my opinion, but the butterflies they attract make up for them)

- cats laying around lazily in the sun beams on the floor

- crisp white bedsheets drying on the line (smell so good!)

- crickets singing to each other in the dark

- doing yoga outside where you really are giving the sun a salutation

- driving with the windows down and music turned way up

- doing that hand thing out the window where for a second you know what it's like to be an airplane

- wet swim suits hanging from hooks outside

and last, but not least:

- grilling turkey dogs with friends who bring over homemade guacamole dip and chocolate cupcakes inside icecream cones.
