I know what it's like to feel too busy and overwhelmed to notice the wonders, great and small, all around us. Check out this lovely little short film - illustrated and narrated by me - to find out what I've learned about living "an open-hearted life." Made in collab with SALT Project and WFYI, and animated by Mariana Lopez.
Milo and Zamaya described their dream homes to Apartment Therapy. I helped bring their vision to life!

Every 65 seconds, a new brain develops Alzheimer’s, two-thirds of those brains belong to women, and no one knows why. Founded by Maria Shriver, The Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement (WAM) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness about women’s increased risk for Alzheimer’s, fighting for more gender-specific research, and education everyone about the lifestyle choice they can make to enhance brain health.
What a pleasure it was to team up with Maria Shriver, the team over at WAM, and Salt Project (Emmy-winning production company!) to create this animated short to help folks to better understand this mind-blowing disease and hopefully get closer to a cure.
"Parenting and Pain" is a creative collaboration between myself, SALT, Glennon Doyle, and OWN's Super Soul Session - a big, bold thank you to both Glennon and Oprah for sharing their inspiration and wisdom so freely over the years. This Super Soul Session is helping us get through the joys and struggles of parenthood!

Looking for six surefire ways to survive the holidays? I teamed up with SALT Project & O Magazine to create this festive masterpiece to help everyone through the most wonderful (and stressful) time of the year!
SALT Project, O Magazine, and I came together to create this summertime “crankie” from an excerpt of Elizabeth Gilbert’s "Big Magic."
A crankie is a nineteenth-century storytelling art form where an illustrated scroll is wound onto two spools and hand-cranked while a story is being told or sung. We thought this moving panorama would be a fun and sweet way to illustrate the big magic of creativity in the midst of fear!
For this short film, I take you through my thinking and reveal my illustration for Oprah Magazine. This surprising illustration is for a book review of “The Visiting Privilege,” a collection of short stories by Joy Williams.
So excited about this collaboration with Hancock Health, an Indiana-based, full-service healthcare network that believes great health care starts with great health! Their goal is to help their county become Indiana's healthiest county and our hope is that these short films will be able to help :)
A short film giving you a peek into my linocut printmaking process.
My day often starts with a walk by the river behind my house. I look for inspiration, gather my thoughts and start the day as intentionally as possible. This profile video gives you a look into my world and shows you a piece in process.
