Health Progress Magazine, editorial series

I am really proud of this last job. This was a series of illustrations for Health Magazine, a publication from The Catholic Health Association. The series of illos went with 7 articles about palliative care. In case you're unfamiliar with it Palliative care is medical care or treatment that concentrates on reducing the severity of disease symptoms rather than striving to stop, delay, or reverse progression or provide a cure. It's kind of like hospice, and focuses on physical, emotional and spiritual well-being for both the patient and their family members.

The idea that the AD and I settled on was to follow a patient through various scenarios of care. I chose for the patient to have red hair (like I usually draw!) to help distinguish her throughout the series.
